Prep A

During the past few weeks the preps have been learning about measuring length. Many topics in prep require the children to learn and apply mathematical language. Words such as longer, shorter, thick, thin, enormous, tiny, wide and narrow seem quite simple to an adult but can be very confusing for young children. The children listened to Roald Dahl’s story the enormous crocodile and had a go of measuring the length of the Enormous and Not-So-Big crocodiles.
